EIRC participated in several projects under the European Commission’s funded programme called “Framework Programme 7” (FP7), which covered a lot of sectors. EIRC participated mainly in Research Support projects which aimed at facilitating collaboration between research and industry players in innovative, research and technology development projects from Europe and India in various sectors. The main aim of most of the projects was to encourage Indian research institutes, SMEs and industries to partner in FP7 projects and thus enhance collaboration between Europe and India. EIRC has partnered in various FP7 projects under different sectors including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Biotechnology, Environment, Energy, Transport and Space.
